This won't pass; the credit card industry has far too much money to shovel into the politicians' pockets. But I really wish it would. Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-NY) deserves a letter of kudos.

Well, you're the econ major :) If you're telling me the regulation is carefully crafted so that it won't cause serious problems with consumer spending and make it hard to get credit cards, then I'll believe you and think it a good thing.

It would make it harder for consumers to obtain credit, and there'll be some "growing pains" associated with that. In the long run, though, this would be for the best. Consumer deficit spending is an artificial, unsustainable inflationary force. We're better off without it.

Cool :) Is it just me, or are we both awfully bored with work this Friday afternoon?

Well, I'm at home now. But I actually had really busy days yesterday and today, and was relishing the quiet of the last half-hour or so.
