Things of note in bits and pieces

As Jethrien noted, we bought a lot of flour, apples and cheese in Vermont. I tried a chocolate challah recipe out of the need bread machine cookbook last night (it needs some work, but it's a viable concept), and I'm planning part-potato flour rolls tonight. Also smoked cheddar mac and cheese. And homemade applesauce, and maybe some buckwheat pancakes to put it on. Did I get buckwheat? I lost track. I know I got potato flour, tapioca flour, 12-grain flour, pumpernickle flour, spelt flour, oat flour and sourdough flavor mix. Seriously, I bought one of everything from the wall of flours. There's going to be a whole lotta bread in my future.

I still really like my new toy. I had a few issues with Google Maps mobile and Mapquest mobile, but they were still damn handy when making wrong turns. Also, it was nice to be able to glance at my email and LJ every day or two while on vacation and make sure nothing had exploded in my absence.

Jethrien and I were thinking about going out to the PA Ren Faire this weekend. (We had made some tentative plans with Ivy03 a few weeks ago, but didn't actually send out details to anyone else.) Anyone interested?

No, you really want to come to the Maryland Ren Faire this weekend :) Cause, you know, I'll be there, as always! It's only less than hour more to get there too (according to Google). And MDRF really is much better than PARF anyway...
Oh and these last THREE weekends at PARF are the Halloween ones, so that might make it fun and interesting or just weird...you'll have to let me know which :)

Well, nothing stops us from making apple pies. We made apple crumb at the cooking lesson; I made an apple cake last night to feed to the gaming group tonight. We could make an apple pie to bring to TrinityVixen and Feiran's Halloween party, if there's interest.

And to hutubachick, I don't believe we've ever met, but I went to P-ton with Chuck and I'll be at MDRF this weekend (and every weekend) if you want to get together or get any recommendations for shows and the like. You can find me at one of the Pubs, working at one of the hair-braiding booths, or playing Pat Ruck!

Oh, there is crash space at my house (well, house I'm staying in) for people if they do not want to drive back all in one day...beds even! And we have a pool and hot tub to boot :)

...Yeah, I think we're going to go to PA. We want to do the day trip, so the shorter/easier drive is better. Plus, we've been to the MD Faire already this year.
