Media Consumption Declarations

chuckroI am hereby abandoning a number of backlogged media items I have failed to consume for general lack of interest:
Anime recommended by Xannoside: Ghost in the Shell Standalone Complex. I made it five episodes in, long enough to see the beginnings of the ongoing plot, but it never grabbed me enough to keep going. I should return his box set.
Anime recommended by Mithrigil: Trigun. Never started, and while it’s very possible that I might enjoy it, my ability to watch not-safe-for-ARR TV is limited and I’m not feeling a pressing need to seek it out.
Stupid things I was forcing on myself: Dragon Warrior. I made it through one of the 13 episodes, which are all on Youtube, but despite having childhood memories of mystery and wonder about the series…it’s really stupid. Kinda terribly so. I don’t need to waste my time watching it.
Shows other friends love: Farscape. I made it through a season and a half, and though I’m told it keeps getting better, Jethrien is not interested in watching any more and I’ve been universally opting to rewatch Star Trek TNG or DS9 rather than pop in the DVDs. I may get back to it sometime, but I’m taking it off the list in the hopes of getting through TV I’m actually excited about.
