A collection of Kickstarter campaigns from a selection of realities that are thankfully not our own. See how funds were raised for time travel, robot bodies, mutated monsters, giant brains and more!
A number of very good authors have pieces in here, but pretty much all of the stories are half-decent. It’s short-form enough that even the clunkers don’t have time to drag on. Some of the ideas overlap and a few of the stories get a bit same-y, but you wouldn’t want to read something like this straight through, anyway.
This is a book that, upon reflection, will likely make no sense at all to my son’s generation. It’s an extremely dated bit of clever humor, mired in the current crowdfunding climate and a lot of the memes and sci-fi sensibilities of today.
Overall: If you’re looking for an ebook to keep on your phone and read five minutes at a time, this is a very good choice.
