Okay, I know they won't, but seriously, if you replaced pamphlet comics with e-comics that cost nothing to print or ship and can be delivered instantly, and maintain the hardbound/TPB backlog business, you might find it possible to make money with comic book publishing again.

You know, now that you mention it, I probably would pay real money for a subscription that emailed me a nice file every time a comic came out. It'd probably be less amusing than sitting down in B&N and going through the trade on a bright Sunday afternoon with a cup of tea and a cookie, but a heckuva lot more convenient.

You and a fair number of people who can't be bothered to go to the comic shop every Wednesday, I'd wager. And there's nothing saying you and your color ereader couldn't sit in the sun with tea and cookies to read it.
