Paneer Palak
Aug. 8th, 2010 12:43 pmI made totally homemade Paneer Palak this weekend! Including the cheese!
The final dish wasn't quite perfect--I need to get some ghee so the buttery flavor is right (I used a little butter melted in vegetable oil) and I need some onions and other veggies to break up the spinach, but I seemed to get the spice combination right (using the spices my mom brought me back from India, amusingly enough). And the texture was good and the cheese was pretty much exactly what I wanted, so yay!
We're going to try brining/salting the remainer of the cheese to make it more of a snacking cheese (I only used about half of it, but it's currently too bland to eat without a sauce on it), because it needs to get used before we go to CA on Friday.
