Jethrien found this site and sennt it to me: http://www.fancyfastfood.com/

Apparently they take fast food entrees and disassemble them, rebuilding the individual components in haute cuisine. They're definitely very pretty, though there's a major problem I'm seeing (besides these requiring you to be, y'know, insane to make): They'll taste like pre-chewed fast food.

There was a challenge on Top Chef like that...

The chef who did the best was the one who stuck closest to the original (ie, frying the heck out of it), rather than taking license and serving braised scallops or something.

What is it with Top Chef and seafood? I swear, when they can pick their own ingredients, 80% of the dishes are seafood, 19% are beef, and that last 1% is mostly duck or lamb or something. I've seen one chef choose chicken. And he was a Southerner.

Brilliant.

In humor value. I'm doubtful about the taste.
