New roommate

It's official--jethrien is all moved in. We've completely rearranged the bedroom, spent an insane amount of money on furniture (three bookshelves, two cd racks, a bed, a dresser, a kitchen table, and more chairs), and put away virtually all of her stuff (and rearranged much of mine).

Then, last night, in deference to the holiday, we made a cherry pie and walked down to Liberty State Park for the fireworks, which was very pleasant.

We're probably going to have some sort of housewarming gathering this weekend--folks in NY/NJ should expect an email with details as soon as we work them out.

Sounds nice. Include me in the housewarming invite, will ya? I probably won't make it, but I'm in the mood for some travellin' (particularly after working much of this last weekend, but for an ever-increasing chance to go to Australia all-expenses-paid, it was totally worth it) and I miss you guys rather a lot.

I believe there are family things planned for that weekend. Are you coming down for something else then, or do you just happen to be free? (If you just want to randomly come down, I suspect there'll be plenty of chances. And we're thinking of coming up the last weekend in July.)
