Media LIFO Problem
Jul. 21st, 2015 07:57 pmI’ve been having a problem over the past few months of starting media (a book, a video game, a TV series) that’s particularly long, then acquiring something new that’s shorter, so going off and doing the newer thing first. I’ve read through five Kindle Unlimited books and two trade paperbacks in between making progress on Thicker Than Water by Mike Carey. I got distracted from Disgaea D2 by Final Fantasy X HD, then from that by Professor Layton, then from that by Super Mario 3D Land. Then I started playing Ys Origins when I got a free Steam copy, but got distracted by the Steam games that came in the Game Maker Humble bundle. (Several of which are really very good.) Oh, and I was going to try Super Shell Monsters Story on the emulator box, but then a hack of Final Fantasy 4 presented itself.
I’m digging myself back out of this, but I suspect one of my goals when we do a brief staycation in August will be to actually clear some of my backlog of media.
At least I’m spending somewhat more time on media I enjoy rather than mindlessly reading the internet?
