Got this from Melanie...
Jan. 29th, 2005 10:01 amBehind a cut, because I care. And just read a week's worth of my Friends page desperately craving cuts.
Senior Year
What year was it? 98-99
What were your three favorite bands or musical artists? "Weird Al" Yankovic, as with all through high school. Probably Barenaked Ladies and Shawn Colvin as the other to--I didn't develop my most wide and varied musical tastes until college.
What was your favorite outfit? Jeans and a sweatshirt, or jeans, a t-shirt and an unbuttoned flannel shirt.
What was up with your hair? It was exactly the same as it is now. And I actually had a beard for most of my senior year.
Who were your best friends? Chris, Michelle, Paul, Evan...many of the same folk from high school as now.
Where did you work? Walbaums for a little while, CTY that summer, and a did a ton of tutoring that year.
Did you take the bus? Nope.
Who did you have a crush on? Laurie Schwendamenn for a while. And, obviously, Danielle, who I ended up dating for a few months in the fall.
Did you fight with your parents? A bit. As per usual.
Who did you have a CELEBRITY crush on? Shoot, that is a good question. Probably Jewel at that point.
Did you smoke cigarettes? Never. (I'm allergic to them, actually.)
Did you lug all of your books around in your backpack because you were too nervous to find your locker? Nahh--as a Playcrafter, I got to claim a locker in the crew hall. I lugged my books around because a had too many books.
Did you have a 'clique'? Several--my high school was insanely cliquish. I fit into the Playcrafters, the chorus/theater semi-overlap, the smart kids group of my year, the smart kids group a year ahead of me, and occasionally I interacted with others.
Did you have "The Max" like Zach Kelly and Slater? Not so much, no.
Admit it, were you popular? In certain circles--everyone knew who I was, but I think only the groups listed above actually thought I was cool.
Who did you want to be just like? Chris.
What did you want to be when you grew up? I think Computer Science had already caught my eye at that point. And I had dreams of being an actor.
Where did you think you'd be at the age you are now? Older. I'd have a job. I don't think I really speculated all that much.
