Graze Box Review #5
Apr. 6th, 2015 09:31 pmThis box was disappointing overall. (Note to self: Remember to mark preferences on the Graze site as well as here, so they don’t re-send anything I didn’t like.)
Fruity Mango Chutney – Another dipper set, which I feel like I’ve generally been underwhelmed with. Weird aftertaste which may be the cumin or one of the weirder spices. I think I’d prefer this to be less “chutney” and more “salsa.”
Fruit and Seed Flapjack – Another granola bar “flapjack”, and this one is only okay. The fruits are understated, the seeds have very little flavor, and the mouthfeel is mealy. Overall bland.
Beach Bum – A trail mix with chewy dried bananas, which I didn’t know existed. (I’ve only ever seen crunchy dried bananas.) Serviceable, but I wouldn’t bother again.
Salted Fudge and Peanut Cookie – Sadly unimpressive. Not sure why they included both raw and roasted peanuts; I don’t think there’s a benefit to doing so. Overall too dry, and the flavors don’t mesh well enough.
