Graze Your Snacks
Jan. 28th, 2015 10:09 amI was intrigued by Graze when an ad for it popped up on Pandora. It’s a snack-of-the-week service: You put in your dietary restrictions, and they regularly send you boxes of pre-portioned snacks, mostly interesting trail mix variants.
I’ve tried one box (four snacks), and so far my biggest complaint is just that the snacks average in the 150 calorie range, which is more of a “nibble” for me—Since I’ve started chasing ARR, I’ve been averaging twice that for my snacks and I’m not gaining weight. This is not so much an issue for most people.
The snacks in my first box:
Raspberry and Coconut Muffin Mix – Had an issue of too much thin-sliced stuff (slivered almond AND coconut flakes), but the flavor set worked.
Cracking Black Pepper Cashews – Exactly what it says, cashews with pepper on them. Tasty.
My Thai – Disappointing. Tiny rice/soy cakes that you dip in spicy-sweet chili sauce. One-dimensional and not particularly filling.
Strawberry Shortcake Mix – I was irritated that this has “strawberry drops” instead of dried strawberries in it, but it was overall the best of the lot. Good combination of items and flavors.
The first box was free; I’m figuring I’ll pay for a couple more and try some more of the selections before I make a final judgment; the first set was sufficiently intriguing. If you want to try it, use my referral code QDVYVKMDP, which gets me a discount and gets you either one or two free boxes.
