Puerto Rico

I went to Puerto Rico with my nuclear family for four days this past weekend. There aren't really stories to tell--we stayed in the Mariott in San Juan, and I sat by the pool, sat on the beach, and sat on the veranda; alternating napping, reading, and playing game boy.

I actually didn't go swimming, but the weather was at least partially to blame. It was only 80-85 degrees, and there was a lot of wind, so it seemed cooler. And there was a lot of sproadic rain and cloud cover on Friday and Saturday. But compared to the weather I heard NJ got this past weekend, it was indeed tropical paradise.

Overall, it was a nice break from routine, the weather was pleasant for lounging, I got a little color in my cheeks; I got through Wyrd Sisters, Shadow of the Hedgemon, a full play-through of Final Fantasy Legend 3 and a sizable chunk of Golden Sun. That, I think, is free time relaxingly spent.

And four days is just long enough for it to be a vacation, and just short enough that the members of my family don't kill each other.

Puerto Rico,
You lovely island . . .
Island of tropical breezes.
Always the pineapples growing,
Always the coffee blossoms blowing . . .

It was stuck in my head, now it's in yours too. MWAHAHAHA!!!

That's because I didn't sit next to anyone weird on the plane. Well, besides our mother.
