Random Hilarity

Some folks claimed to have found a NES "Great Gatsby" game at a garage sale and put it online, along with scans of the original manual. A delightful hoax, except for a critical detail that indicates this could never have been an NES game: It's far, far too easy.

No, you get a magical boomerang hat. It's about as accurate as most NES adaptations were.

However, I experienced one very NES-like bug, where I died in the boss battle and each time the level restarted, my character promptly ran off the left side of the screen and died without me even touching any buttons. Reminds me of Darkman; I never progressed past the first screen of that game because the exact same thing happened.
